I am andy J.S. Decepida. These pages comprise my point-of-presence (albeit modest and – it is hoped although unlikely – salutary) on the Web.
I am a seasoned COBOL programmer by trade with years of iSeries (a.k.a. AS/400, Power, System i5, or System i) experience — I was working at a beta-site in 1987, a full year before "Silver Lake" or "Duke" was released in 1988 ( years ago). I have been in IT for years (i.e., since 1983).
1431731 ONTARIO INC was founded years ago in 2000. It is the incorporated entity I use for contracting purposes.
As of Tuesday 01-JUL-2008, these web pages have been converted to pure HTML and CSS (with minimal help from Javascript). This was done to eliminate the use of frames and tables.
In my adventures, it became very apparent that Microsoft's Internet Explorer does not render the CSS standard very well — an understatement. There are, within these pages, typographical conventions used to visually distinguish the following classes of references:
Phrases placed within quotes(N.B.: Internet Explorer users: you will not see the quotation marks; if you want them, go talk to Microsoft or use a better user agent or browser)
Lastly, the last updated stamp
on the bottom of each page is true and accurate — it is a calculated from the modification timestamp of the respective page. This has to do with restricting content in the HTML code. Any appearance or presentation alterations that you might detect without the last updated stamp
changing reflects the fact that altering CSS can change the look without having to modify the content.
